This is the second part of a four-part series by Pastor Dalkeith Bennett of the Beulah/Spring Ground circuit of Missionary churches in Jamaica. During this series, he examines the significance of the first Easter weekend event, the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Pastor Bennett uses the theology of four New Testament writers as found in The Epistles. They are Romans (the Apostle Paul), 1 Peter (the Apostle Peter, 1 John (the Apostle John), and the Book of Hebrews.
Today we examine 1 Peter 2:21-25. The Apostle Peter explains to us that Jesus’ death and resurrection, which he experienced firsthand on that fateful weekend, served two purposes. These were to provide redemption to man and secondly, to provide an example of patient endurance in the face of injustice.
