As we continue our series on “The Jailbreak Experience” today we look at Matthew’s gospel, Chapter 28 and verses 2-4. It reads “And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descended from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. For fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men.”
Each gospel includes its own report of the resurrection. Each gospel is a separate witness in the case. Each is an independent witness. In Matthew’s days, the ancient social media was very active. The main rumour was the disciples would steal the body and declare that resurrection took place. Matthew wrote to certify the declaration.
What is your rock-stone problem? The Resurrected Christ has the keys. He can bring about a reversal, a turnaround. Give Jesus a chance today. He can turn it around, and break you out of jail.
