Today, Pastor Dalkeith Bennett of the Beulah/Spring Ground circuit of churches in Jamaica begins a four-part series. During this series, he examines the significance of the first Easter weekend event, the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. For this, Pastor Bennett uses the theology of four New Testament writers as found in The Epistles. They are Romans (the Apostle Paul), 1 Peter (the Apostle Peter, 1 John (the Apostle John), and the Book of Hebrews.
Today’s broadcast focuses on Romans 3:25-26. To understand the significance of Jesus’ death as a sacrifice, and its bearing on the relation of man to God, we will examine three headings. These are the necessity of the sacrifice, the worthiness of the sacrifice, and the benefits and beneficiaries of the sacrifice.
