This is the third part of a four-part series by Pastor Dalkeith Bennett of the Beulah/Spring Ground circuit of Missionary churches in Jamaica. During this series, he examines the significance of the first Easter weekend event, the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Pastor Bennett uses the theology of four New Testament writers as found in The Epistles. They are Romans (the Apostle Paul), 1 Peter (the Apostle Peter, 1 John (the Apostle John), and the Book of Hebrews.
Today as we continue we examine four verses found in 1 John 4:10-14. As sad and cruel as the event of that first Easter weekend started on Good Friday, it ended in joy and hope when the disciples discovered that Jesus had risen from the dead. They soon discovered that the events over the weekend were planned by God to demonstrate His love for all humankind.
