Pastor Dalkeith Bennett continues the series of five messages on “Faith in Action – Five Unlikely Heroes”. For Heritage Month, I have chosen to examine the lives of five individuals found in the “Hall of Faith” in Hebrews chapter 11, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah. The objective of this series is to help us embrace the idea that anyone can be a “Hero of Faith” if we make ourselves available for God to use us.
Our hero of faith for today is Samson, found in Judges 13-16. We will start with Samson’s unique calling, followed by his downfall, and finally, his redemption. On close examination of Samson’s life, one could be excused for thinking his life was a failure. He was given many opportunities and privileges to serve God. Yet he wasted all of these opportunities. Follow along as we discuss his story.
Like Samson, we can never sink so low that God cannot raise us up and use us for His glory. We can never go beyond God’s reach. Be encouraged, God can use you for His glory.
