According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Global Employment Trend for Youth 2022 report finds that the pandemic has exacerbated the numerous labour market challenges facing those aged between 15 and 24 years who have experienced a much higher percentage loss in employment than adults since early 2020. While this finding may be daunting for many, there are some young persons who are defying the odds and have chosen to start their own businesses to generate much-needed income.
