Our awesome God is a God of mercy and judgement. Judgement is a necessary phase of restoration. Through His judgement, He is showing mercy as He could have left us to our own way. In His answer to Jeremiah’s prayer, the Lord emphasizes rebuilding and replanting. See Jeremiah 32:36-42.
