There are some teachers we remember because they taught us a subject. There are others we remember because they helped shape our lives. Today we celebrate one such extraordinary woman, Dr Blossom White. To many she was a teacher, to others a mentor. To countless young people she became a Spiritual Mother, offering guidance, encouragement, discipline and unconditional love.
Joining us are former students of the Jamaica Theological Seminary, JTS, who affectionately described her as mother of a generation. They are now pioneers of the nationwide “Passion and Purity” program, equipping young people across Jamaica to pursue lives of integrity, purpose and holiness. Today, we not only explore simply who Blossom White was, but how her life continues to bear fruit in a new generation.
Dr Margarett Barnett is a Vice President of Jamaica Theological Seminary. She has spent over 20 years working in private and nonprofit organisations that provide services to young people and their families.
